40,46,52,58,_____,_______,72 find the missing numbers

@emilymcclelland

@HelpBlahBlahBlah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Out of those groups of numbers, do you notice a specific pattern to and from each number??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes add six but then it says 72

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

keep an eye on what's being ADDED to get the next term that'd be the "common difference" then use that then to get the missing ones

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but the 72 the last number just messed up the pattern

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmmm

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

maybe is typo

OpenStudy (freckles):

i think it is an error too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats wat i said to my math teacher and shes like nonono

OpenStudy (freckles):

it looks like you are missing two numbers right (hence the two spaces you left) i think the last number should be 76

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm can you post a quick screenshot of the material? so we can see what's there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you think you could post the actual question, like a picture?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dumb slow compter im so sorry wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

computer*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

number 2

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

actually I may be able to watch an episode of spongebob in the meantime... .maybe 2 episodes of spongebob =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay..........

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but r ya goin to help me though

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well.. sure..... it's just my way of saying is taking some time somehing that'd otherwise takes no more than a couple of mins =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jdoe0001

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we can make a function that will fit, but it may not be 'the pattern' they are looking for

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so wat i just ned a answer

OpenStudy (amistre64):

well, if your answers ar enot their answers, then the pattern we find will not be the pattern they used

OpenStudy (amistre64):

5 points can form a degree 4 polynomial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ong who cares i ned to right something down its not graded

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then write something down ... im not going to sit here and try to work thru something with you if youre just going to get omg-ish

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh watevea just forget it ill right typo on that question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can ya help me with another problem then
