ok now combine terms
get "x" on one side, constants on other
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i end up minusing 6 from both 6x and coming up with 0x
OpenStudy (dumbcow):
correct
0x = 4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh ok then i had it right can you hel with one more

sure
OpenStudy (anonymous):
0.5(x-3)-(1.5-x)=5x
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i know the answer will be 0 idk how to get to it tho
OpenStudy (dumbcow):
distribute
---> .5x -1.5 -1.5 +x = 5x
combine terms
--> 1.5x -3 = 5x
--> 3.5x = -3
solve
---> x = -3/3.5
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh its not 0 ok thx
