Shear stress is defined as the Force acting on an Area. You are given F = 465 N For a cylinder, surface area is given by: 2*pi*r*h + 2*pi*r^2 radius r in this case is 3/2 cm height h in this case is 3 cm Try finding the shear stress now: S = F/A
