OpenStudy (shelby1290):

Can someone please explain to me what the Women Right's Movement was about in their own words?

OpenStudy (kohai):

Essentially it was the movement where women started pushing for more equality. This is roped into stuff anywhere between voting rights and equal pay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It was about women wanting more equality. They wanted to be more equal with the men. They wanted the same pay and wanted to be able to vote.

OpenStudy (shelby1290):

is there anything else that i should know in more detail, im making notes for a project.

OpenStudy (shelby1290):

like what year it started in or what preparations women made..etc

OpenStudy (kohai):

It really depends on what your project is about, is there a certain field?

OpenStudy (shelby1290):

its on the Women Rights Movement/Women in the American Revolution/Women Right's in Canada

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1848-1920

OpenStudy (kohai):

Oh, in Canada. I suppose that explains that. I was speaking in terms of the United States, I don't know anything about Canada's WRM

OpenStudy (shelby1290):

^ the project is covering all three of those topics

OpenStudy (shelby1290):

no the project is on both the usa and canada

OpenStudy (shelby1290):

like usa's women rights and canada's women rights

OpenStudy (kohai):

Ah, okay, I see. Something you should definitely look into are the key players and activists that were involved.

OpenStudy (shelby1290):

Mhm do you know of any?

OpenStudy (kohai):

Here's a useful link, they're sorted by country. So you can get a list for both the US and Canada http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_women's_rights_activists

OpenStudy (shelby1290):

Okay thanks i'll just research the rest

OpenStudy (kohai):

Yeah you're welcome, good luck with your project
