Geometry: Find Each Length: AB. Another is BC. Its a number line lined from left to right: <-4,-3,A -2.5, -2,-1,0,B 1, 2,3,C 3.5, 4, D 5> Question 1: Length of AB Question 2: BC I know A is -2.5, B is 1, and C is 3.5 but am unsure of what to do next, and how to solve. I have to work it out, but have only tried AB+BC=AC, so i added 3.5+(-2.5) and got 1.0, i need help, thanks

Since it's a number line why don't you try counting the lengths. Anyway the length AC is the length of AB + BC. The length from A to B is 3.5, and B to C is 2.5 So from A to C it is 6

OpenStudy (hesan):

to find the length what you have to do is: just subtract the two points, the resultant will be your answer.
