Which of the following equations is an example of inverse variation between variables x and y ? A.) y=15x B.) y= x-15 C.) y=15/x D.) y=x/15 Help Please! Will give medal and fan!

well first of all, an inverse equation is \[y=\frac{ k }{ x }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the K or Konstant (or just constant) should be on top of the x because x can, theoretically go forever. Therefore, C is your answer because it follows the equation format of an inverse variation.

However, if you have a table of values- make sure you not that if you multiple the y (x) you should get the same k (hence KONSTANT) forever. This diagram will help. http://exchangedownloads.smarttech.com/public/content/cc/cc40adae-c40e-4009-83f5-3d8fe508ddb4/previews/medium/0002.png Hope that helps :)
