One function, f(x), with two real rational solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about it?

OpenStudy (nightwielder):

most quadratic functions have 2 solutions

OpenStudy (nightwielder):

some may have 1 or 2

OpenStudy (nightwielder):

just about any function with a power of 2 or higher could have 2 solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need examples for that sort of equation

OpenStudy (nightwielder):

f(x)= -x^2+10 f(x)= x^2-10 i chose these because x^2 and -x^2 have 1 solution by adding or subtracting any number u end up shifting them to a hieght that has 2 solutions. However x^2 +10 would yield irrational solutions (not what u want) same with -x^2-10 the number doesnt have to be 10 btw

thanks
