JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

Multiply (5x^2 + x - 4)(x + 2). 5x3 + x2 - 4x - 8 5x3 + 11x2 - 2x - 8 5x3 + 10x2 - 4x - 8 5x3 + 20x2 + 2x - 8 @JackleBee

Lol did you try this by your self with the distributive property?

JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

Im not good at math lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just do this:|dw:1412781979371:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so (5x^2 + x - 4)(x + 2 1. 5x^2(x) + 5x^2(2) 2. x(x) + x(2) 3. -4(x) + (-4)(2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. 5x^3 (because you multiplied by another x so x is now increased to a bigger exponent) and 10x^2 (because you multiplied the coefficient of 5 x 2 =`0 2. x^2 + 2x 3. -4x - 8 soo combine like terms... 5x^3 +11x^2-2x-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer is b.

JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):
