OpenStudy (anonymous):

From a standard deck of cards, what is the probability that you choose a red card and then choose a 3 assuming you replaced the first card? A)1/52 B)3/104 C)1/26 D)15/26

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what are your thoughts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I know there 52 cards in a full deck and there are 26 red and 4 are threes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when i set up an equation shouldnt I take away 4 of those threes from 26/52 and get the equation 4/48?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well fraction..

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since we are replacing the card we pull, the probability is unaltered the second time ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

26 out of 52, times 4 out of 52

OpenStudy (anonymous):

104/2704? I reduced that down to 1/26 but it's not an option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait, let me try something..

OpenStudy (amistre64):

1/26 is an option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh gee, completely flew from my mind. thank you!
