For #1 - you can just add up the total number of bones - in this case, there are 22 bones in total. For #5 - we're talking about the MNI which you hopefully understand from the previous question. In this scenario, it's important to know the MNI because we want to know how many people these bones came from (that is, if they came from the 3 brothers in question). For #6 - if you look at the second list of bones (that tell which side of the body they came from), you'll notice something about the number of femora (thigh bones). One person has 1 right femur and 1 left femur, but the sheriff found 4 right femora. This means these are the remains of at least 4 different people. So what to tell the sheriff? It's possible that three of the femora belong to the three brothers, but there's a fourth mystery person too. We can't draw any conclusions until further testing is performed.
