okay so you know that the x-coordinate of the vertex has to = -b/2a (when y= ax^2+bx+c) which is 4/(2*1) = 2. plug 2 into the original equation to get the y value of the vertex so it's 2^2-4(2)+5 = 1, so the vertex is (2, 1). i'll assume you know how to graph a parabola with x^2 coefficient of 1, but if not you could make a table of a bunch of x coordinates with y outputs, plot the points, and then connect the dots. for example, x=-2 plug that into x^2-4x+5, then you get (-2, 17). x=-1 plug that into the equation then you get (-1, 10). x=0 plug that into the equation you get (0,5) etc.
