In terms of the ideal gas law, what would a temperature of absolute zero imply? How about a negative absolute temperature?

OpenStudy (usman1995):

in terms of ideal gas absolute zero is the temperature -273.16 C .. which is 0 K .. it implies that at this temperature gas has zero volume. which is not true logically, because matter can't have 0 volume but it's logic is at 0 kelvin gas is converted to liquid, actually it is converted to liquid before 0 k thats why this is the lowest temperature that can be achieved although it havn't yet been achieved

OpenStudy (usman1995):

absolute zero means "zero"... and zero can't be negative or positive.
