How did Bohr explain the many colors given off as an element is heated?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bohr says that electrons orbit the nucleus with certain energy levels. When a metal is heated, it absorbs energy and the electrons "jump" to a higher energy level. When the electrons quickly go back to lower energy levels, the electron gives off excess energy in the form of light, which in turn correspond to the colors that we see.
