the reaction of two grams of Mg with excess chlorine should produce how many grams of magnesium chloride, assuming complete reaction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, calculate the amount of \(Mg\) in moles. The reaction will be \(Mg+Cl_2\rightarrow MgCl_2\). As you can see, 1 mole of \(Mg\) will produce 1 mole of \(MgCl_2\). Now you get the amount of \(MgCl_2\), you can easily calculate the mass of it.
