f(x)=-5x^2+6x+9, find a value of x such that f(x)=0

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're confusing f(x) = 0 with f(0)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you need to plug in f(x) = 0 and solve for x f(x)=-5x^2+6x+9 0=-5x^2+6x+9 -5x^2+6x+9 = 0 you can try to factor, but I don't think it does. The best route is to use the quadratic formula. In this case, a = -5, b = 6 and c =9

Nnesha (nnesha):

ohhh yeah

Nnesha (nnesha):

@jim_thompson5910 thanks for remanding me and sorry @jcline20
