OpenStudy (anonymous):
i think x=-9
OpenStudy (anonymous):
heres a picture from further out @!Call~Me~Addi!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
and whats the work on that or well at least tell me how you did it so I know how to set it up..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i just added 109 and 89 and got 198 then subtracted 180 from 198 and got 18 and i know 18 divided by two is 9 and since its subracting it would be negative

yeah but you can't have a negative angle... can you?

a = 180 - b
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it can be in the expression for the angle
OpenStudy (lyrae):
That relation will give you the equation
\[x + 89 = 180 - (x + 109)\]which indeed is x = -9
Don't forget that x isn't the actual angle it's just a part of the angles
a = x + 89 = -9 + 80 = 80 deg
b = x + 109 = -9 + 109 = 100 deg
