40 guests

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hey Becker :) So if each guest will cost $10, then \(\Large\rm n\) guests will cost \(\Large\rm 10n\). So our $500 is going towards the $100 rental fee `plus` the 10 per guest times the number of guests

zepdrix (zepdrix):

\(\Large\rm 500=100+10n\) Understand how I set that up?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Woops, replace n with g :) I didn't see the variable in the problem there.
