As air exits the respiratory system of dolphins, marine mammals, it exits through a blow hole rather than a pharynx, as found in humans. Which describes the air flow, in order, after gases are exchanged with the blood until it exits? A. alveoli, bronchioles, bronchi, trachea B. bronchioles, bronchi, trachea, alveoli C. bronchi, trachea, alveoli, bronchioles D. trachea, alveoli, bronchioles, bronchi
@Secret-Ninja
I think its either c or d
i think its D
medal if helped ?
thx
Not sure if this is right but I think that D is wrong...at least in humans it would be incorrect. I don't actually know how systems are labelled in dolphins but I believe that they are the same since they have the same nomenclature. Aveoli are where the gas exchange actually occurs so it should be A) alveoli, bronchioles, bronchi, trachea. Furthermore this answer follows how air would leave the lungs after gas exchange in humans.
You have to describe the path after it has exchanged gases with the blood. So you are at the Alveoli --> bronchioles --> Bronchi --> Trachea
