Please help? Lewis structure for KrCl2? This is what I have: .. .. .. : Cl - Kr - Cl : .. .. .. What do I do with the extra 2?

thats correct but you still draw in the electrons shared between Cl and Kr but its best to change the electrons on Kr to an x rather than a dot so you can see who the electrons belong to you also draw them closer to Cl has it has a stronger pull on the electrons

are you sure it KrCl as krypton has a full outer shell

Yes, I'm sure it's KrCl2 because it's on our practice worksheet and that's why I'm confused.

thats got me a little too i didn't think any of the nobal gases reacted cz of the full outer valence shell
