I see so you are basically asking for this I suppose? Simplify into one term: \[\frac{x+3}{x^{2}-16} + \frac{x}{x+4}\]or\[\frac{x+3}{x+2}\frac{x+6}{x+3}\]if these are the types of question you are looking for, all you have to do is find a common denominator so that you can add the two terms together and cancel out factors. So in the first problem, the common denominator is x^2-16 since: \[x^2-16 = (x+4)(x-4)\]NOTE:This is called the difference of squares. In the second problem, you could cancel out the (x+3) factor because it appears in the numerator and denominator. NOTE: if you are asked to graph that function it would have a hole at x=-3 due to function ability to cancel out that factor. Is that your question?
