Inequalities with \[< \space or \space >\]are graphed with dotted lines and means "exluding the line". Inequalities with \[\le \space or \space \ge \]are graped with a solid line and means "including the line". Since we have one inequality with \[< \space and \space another \space one \space with \space \ge\]the answer can't be 2 since it has two solid lines.
