The function f(x) = sinx + 1 contains which type of transformation or change to its parent graph?

OpenStudy (zale101):

You know how sine is graphed, right? f(x)=sinx <--- that's the parent function f(x)=sinx + a this is a vertical translation and this graph has f(x)=sinx translating up to number a units f(x)=sinx + a Translated down, vertically to number a units makes sense?

OpenStudy (zale101):

|dw:1416090670175:dw| Graph f(x)=sinx first

OpenStudy (zale101):

@famerdave are you there?

OpenStudy (zale101):

If you don't know how to graph it, i can help you graph f(x)=sinx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Zale101 my trouble is graphing it. I didn't do well on last chapter, and now I'm supposed to transform them and I'm having trouble.

OpenStudy (perl):

you can graph on this https://www.desmos.com/calculator

OpenStudy (perl):

type in ' sin x ' , in the box where it says 1 then type in ' sin x + 1 '

OpenStudy (perl):

type that in for second function
