Why can a car move around a circular track?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Due to a "centripetal force" caused by friction between the tires (which are directing it around the track) and the track itself. Without that centripetal force, it could not move in a circle. If you'd like me to explain centripetal motion further, ask.
