OpenStudy (hulagirlmb):

How do I find point-slope and slope-intercept form from a graph?

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

find the y - intercept and the slope y - int. - where the line intersects the y - axis slope you can find by using rise over run

OpenStudy (hulagirlmb):

The slope is 1 over 1 and the y intercept is -3

OpenStudy (hulagirlmb):

Can you walk me through it?

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

You could take any point of the line for that matter and taking the x value of that point and the y value of that point and putting them into the point slope formula

OpenStudy (hulagirlmb):

ok... I still don't get it.

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

Sure...find a point on the line first

OpenStudy (hulagirlmb):

(-4,-1)

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

and you said the slope was 1 over 1 so the slope equals 1

OpenStudy (hulagirlmb):

Ok

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

This is the formula...|dw:1416584454131:dw|
