a 100N force is applied to a 500kg crate resting on frictionless wheels. What will be its acceleration? WHta distance does the crate cover after 25 sec?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the formula F-R=ma, where F is driving force, R, the Resistive Force, m, the mass and a the acceleration. Given that the surface is frictionless, then R is 0 and your F is the 100 and the m is the 500kg. Make a subject of the formula. For step 2, use the formula s=ut+(at^2)/2, where s is the distance, u initial speed and t is time. Your u is 0, because the motion starts from rest. Solve for s.
