The length of a simple pendulum is 0.85 m, the pendulum bob has a mass of 284 g, and it is released at an angle of 8° to the vertical. Assume simple harmonic motion. (a) With what frequency does it oscillate? (b) What is the pendulum bob’s speed when it passes through the lowest point of the swing? (c) What is the total energy stored in this oscillation assuming no losses

OpenStudy (emmatassone):

\[f=\frac{ 1 }{ T }= \frac{ w }{ 2 \Pi }\]f=frequency, w= angular velocity, T=period\[w ^{2}=\frac{ g }{ l}\] g= gravity, l=lenght

OpenStudy (emmatassone):

for (b) use energy conservation between the lowest point and the point when the pendulum is released, pose that in the lowest point all the energy is cinetic and in the other point energy is all potential.

OpenStudy (emmatassone):

for (c) there is a formula that i dont remeber, look for it in google you should find it.
