The mass of Earth is 3/318of the mass of Jupiter. What percent is this?

OpenStudy (immanuelv):

what you need to do is multiply it by 2 so (34*2)/(50*2) so you get 68/100 so it is 68%

OpenStudy (immanuelv):

a percent is always out of 100

@immanuelv

OpenStudy (immanuelv):

do you have a calculator with you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (immanuelv):

well the easiest way would be to divide 318 by 3.. (you could use google) but I'll help you out :) first you divide 318 by 3 and you get .009433 then you multiply that by 100 to get .943 %

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats it its not one of my choices

OpenStudy (immanuelv):

what are your choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

shoot its not 3/318 its 1/318

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@immanuelv

OpenStudy (immanuelv):

oh that changes the answer ... so what you have to divide 1 by 318 so you get .00314 then you multiply that by 100 to get .3144
