Bess is trying to solve a puzzle where she has to figure out two numbers, x and y. The sum of twice x and 3 times y is less than 6. Also, y must be greater than 1 less than twice the x. Which graph represents the possible solutions? @thomaster @Michele_Laino
@Secret-Ninja All i need is the two equations please help
@micahwood50
"sum of twice x and 3" that translates to: (x+3)+(x+3) "times y is less than 6" (x+3)+(x+3) x y < 6 "y must be greater than 1 less than twice the x." Do you think you can do the last part?
Y>1-2x?
Wait, I did the first part wrong... "sum of twice x and 3" is actually 2x sorry.
and its 3 times y is its 3y
So its \[2x + 3 \times y < 6 \]
i thought it was y=2x+3y-6
Woah I'm confused, just hold up for a sec.
@KamiBug my brain isn't functioning.
it wont let me post them how do i screen shot?
all i need to know is the equations to the problem then i can figure it out. @KamiBug
I think these are the equations: 2x + 3y < 6 2x > y > 1
