OpenStudy (sreekar369):

i think they r different bcuz in plants in respiration ethanol is released and in animals lactic acid

OpenStudy (rzlearner):

word equation? well if the chemical equation is different then I think its safe to assume the word one is different too :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2sreekar369 You are referring to anaerobic respiration. The question is likely referring to aerobic respiration. The most simplified formula is the same.

OpenStudy (sreekar369):

i said aneaerobic

OpenStudy (frostbite):

The two pathways are in fact very similar too. It is mostly on the regulation stage they become different. When it comes to the sum formula. Just a reminder that it is the total oxidation of glucose and that chemical equation can be applied to almost any organism existing, with minor changes in change in oxidizer or carbon sources.
