Nnesha (nnesha):

can you just post your question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yeah sorry i just need someone to explain more broadly about greatest common factors and how to break them down

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

The greatest common factor of two or more known numbers is the largest number that is less than or equal to the smallest of the known numbers such that it is a factor of all the known numbers. If a variable occurs in each term of an expression, then the greatest common factor of that variable is the one with the least exponent.

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

Example:\[12x ^{3}y ^{2}-4x ^{2}y +8x ^{2} yz\]Then the greatest common factor is\[4x ^{2}y\]
