use 2 points...(0,0) and (-6,-1) now we will find the slope by using the slope formula slope(m) = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) (0,0)....x1 = 0 and y1 = 0 (-6,-1)...x2 = -6 and y2 = -1 now we sub slope(m) = (-1-0) / (-6 - 0) slope(m) = -1/-6 slope(m) = 1/6 now use y = mx + b form slope(m) = 1/6 use either of your points....(-6,-1) now we sub and find the y intercept, which is b -1 = 1/6(-6) + b -1 = -1 + b 0 = b so your equation is : y = 1/6x + 0...or you can just write y = 1/6x
