OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

Which equation represents the graphed line? A. x = 6 B. x = 6y C. y = 6 D. y = 6x

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

a or c

Directrix (directrix):

Would you post the coordinates of any two points that would lie on the line? I have in mind to use those to tell how to know the equation of the line.

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

?

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

im thinking that the answer is a or c right?

Directrix (directrix):

That much is correct.

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

but wich one?

Directrix (directrix):

Look at the attachment. What are the coordinates of the two blue points?

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

c?

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

so is the answer c

Directrix (directrix):

I am not going to toss the answer. I was looking for the coordinates of those points. There are people here who will give you direct answers.

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

yeah ik

OpenStudy (karon86):

x=6 Simply because the graph is at 6. It is straight so there is no slope. x=6

OpenStudy (karon86):

a

OpenStudy (karon86):

It is not c because there is no y intercept. there is only an x intercept. The line is no where near the y values.

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

I think A, because all point belonging to that line have the x-coordinate equal to 6

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

oops... all points belonging...

OpenStudy (mrnood):

at all point x is constant - so you need an equation that has no variable y in it. Only one of the answers is like that
