E.J. has shown that a function, f(x), grows by 12% for every unit in the domain. What does this prove? (A) The function f(x) is an arithmetic sequence. (B) The function f(x) is a geometric sequence. (C) The function f(x) is not a sequence. (D) This does not prove anything.

@hartnn @Diyadiya @Directrix @cwrw238 @SithsAndGiggles @Kainui Is this B?

OpenStudy (kainui):

What is an arithmetic and geometric sequence?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An arithmetic sequence has a constant difference while a geometric sequence has a constant ratio.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is it B? @Kainui

@jigglypuff314 @TheSmartOne @Abhisar @aaronq @DanJS Is the answer B?

OpenStudy (academicgurusinc):

yes B is correct because Geometric sequence is a sequence of numbers where each term can by found multiplying the previous term by a constant, non-zero number ex, 3, 9, 27, 81 Arithmetic sequence is a sequence of numbers for which the difference is constant. ex. 2, 4, 6, 8. Therefore A cannot be true
