Which elements make up the human body? Are these the same elements that are abundant in Earth’s crust? How are elements on the right side of the periodic table similar to and different from elements on the left side? Is there a pattern to these characteristics? Are Internet periodic tables the same as ones printed on paper?

OpenStudy (korosh23):

About 99% of human body is made up of oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus.

OpenStudy (korosh23):

About 1% is composed of these elements: potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium.

OpenStudy (korosh23):

Elements are the right side of the periodic table are nonmetals. However, elements on the left side are metals.

OpenStudy (korosh23):

These elements on the left side and right side are in some groups which you can find them in a periodic table on the internet. Review their significance and you can find some similarities.

OpenStudy (korosh23):

As I mentioned there are some patterns and similarities in common, but they are not all the same.

OpenStudy (korosh23):

I believe that the periodic tables on the internet are much better because they are colored and more specific, but you have to find a good one. Yes the periodic tables are the same on the internet and the one your teacher gave it to you on the paper.
