which u can cnsider y2 = -4 and x2=1 and y1=2 and x1=-1

so it would be -6/-2?

pay attention,y2-y1=-6 but x2 - x1=2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so slope of that line = -3
OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):
okay thanks
OpenStudy (anonymous):
and the equation of the line which we have the slope and a point is:
\(\Large y = m(x-x \prime )+ y \prime \)
\( (x \prime , y \prime) \) is a point wich u have.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
any problem? can u find it?

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):
so would it be y=3x+1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
slope = -3
OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):
these are the only options I have. A. y=-1/3x-1 B. y=3x-1 C.y=3x+1 D.y=-3x-1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
y=-3x - 1,put \( m=-3 \) and \( x\prime = -1 \) and \( y \prime = 2 \) in that equation.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
please do it yourself and be sure that the answer is \( y=-3x - 1 \).
