What is the point-slope equation of the line with slope 3/2 that goes through the point (-3, 5)? A. y-5=-3/2(x+3) B. y+5=-3/2(x-3) C. y+5=3/2(x-3) D. y-5=3/2(x+3) Ok would it be C? I know that A and B are wrong cause the slope is a positive 3/2 not a negative -3/2.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

no exactly: you know that -(-a) would be +a so when you plug in the x-coordinate you get: (x--3) which is x+3. the 5 though, is positive, so it would be just a normal y-a

So then it would be D.?

yes, exactly!
