Linear Equations - Graph the following: y = (7/3)x - 4. I did the math and got the following line coordinates starting from (0, -4): (1, -(5/3)), (2, 2/3), (3, 3), (4, 16/3), (5, 23/3). I'm not sure if I understood the slop-intercept equation.

Okay, I got it wrong. Can some one please explain what I got wrong? Thanks.

\[x = \frac{ 12 }{ 7 }?\]

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\(\large\color{royalblue}{ y =\left(\begin{matrix} \frac{\LARGE 7}{\LARGE 3}\\ \end{matrix}\right) x- 4 }\) x=0, y=-4 correct. x=1, y=(7/3)-4 >> y=-5/3 correct. x=2 y=(14/3)-4 >> y=2/3 correct. x=3 y=(21/3)-4 >> y=3 correct.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

and on adding 7/3 to the y every time, as you add 1 to the x.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes, every point is correct. well done.

@SolomonZelman But the graphing calculator doesn't seem to agree with it....
