Can someone explain noun clause, adjective clause, and adverb clause? But please as simple as possible

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Noun clause examples: I like \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm what~you~showed~me }\). You know \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm that~the~kite~is~flying }\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is "You promised that you will buy me a kitten." a noun clause?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you mean that the entire sentence you posted is a noun clause, or just a part of it is a noun clause?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that you will buy me a kitten. this part

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I don't think that it is a noun clause.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

You promised \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm that~you~are~a~single }\). That is more like a noun clause, but not: You promised \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm that~you~will~buy~me~a~kitten }\).

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

like a very long is a noun clause, but not a very long verb.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
