Can someone explain noun clause, adjective clause, and adverb clause? But please as simple as possible
Noun clause examples: I like \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm what~you~showed~me }\). You know \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm that~the~kite~is~flying }\).
Is "You promised that you will buy me a kitten." a noun clause?
Actually, here you go: Noun Clause. http://www.grammar-monster.com/glossary/noun_clauses.htm Adjective clause http://www.grammar-monster.com/glossary/adjective_clauses.htm Adverbial clauses http://www.grammar-monster.com/glossary/adverbial_clauses.htm
you mean that the entire sentence you posted is a noun clause, or just a part of it is a noun clause?
that you will buy me a kitten. this part
I don't think that it is a noun clause.
You promised \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm that~you~are~a~single }\). That is more like a noun clause, but not: You promised \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm that~you~will~buy~me~a~kitten }\).
like a very long is a noun clause, but not a very long verb.
ok thnx:)
I am actually thinking that it is a Relative clause verb...
