anyone know about history of cameras and i will fan and medal What have been three technological changes to photography in the last 200 years? How has technology affected the way that you produce art like photographs? Are you able to create photographs differently than 100 years ago? Why or why not? How can the changes in technology inspire your practice of photography? How do you use technology to improve your art, such as photographs?

First there was only black and white or sepia Then a big revolution was color photography Then the was the instant photograph so you didn't need a dark room the Polaroid Finally there was the change over to digital photography I processed my own black and white photography but not color Digital allows anyone to take any number of pictures and they do not have to send them out for processing. It has made it much easier for me to get instant results.

OpenStudy (slickster256):

ok thx i found the awnsers to all of them but the second on and the the third one

1. Camera that created pictures date from the Renaissance as described in a 1435 book. These were pencil or pen and ink sketches. These ancient illustrators could only dream that someday images would be captured chemically much less electronically. The world saw the first chemically made camera picture in 1827 made by Joseph Niepce (French 1765 -1833). This was the birth of photography now 187 years old. Niepce’s methods were impractical, we can thank Louis Daguerre (French 1787 – 1851) he simplified and taught the world how to make pictures. The year was 1839. So I credit Daguerre with the first of the three technological changes. What would number two be? There have been so many remarkable achievements along the way. I think number two was a suggestion by Sir John Herschel (English 1792-1871) that thiosulfates completely dissolved away silver salts. Thus “hypo” became the fixing agent that rendered chemically made photographs permanent. What would number three be? James Maxwell (English 1831 – 1879) showed the world the first color picture in 1861. 2. Prior to 1827 mankind drew, sketch, copied, and portrayed using charcoal, or pencil or ink or pigment or dye. Now graphic images can be made chemically or electronically. 3. By 1914 photographic film had been invented. Cameras were big because the film of that era could not support much enlargement plus devices to make enlargements were uncommon. The next major breakthrough was the miniaturization of the camera together with the devices that produced enlarged prints. 4 Most photographers embraced the miniature camera which freed them from the inconvenience of the big and bulky camera. Now the camera was commonly used to record the activities of mankind. 5. Camera automation and lens design improved to the point that the average photographer could concentrate on subject contend. The technical difficulties of photography while still present, moved to the back burner. Now the photographer could place art first and technical complications last.
