Which of the following is a sentence that could be taken from a passage of informal writing done for school? The results of the survey clearly show no interest in steam-powered automobiles. Ain’t you the guy who busted my windshield? Don’t believe every last word you hear about computer viruses. The experts get it wrong. Hey, got any 411 on that new store clerk?

Oh crap I though I was in the math section. sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Excuse me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not being rude.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your being a smart Arse you could have told me this was English. (read my comment) or posted something that was less of "yea just post there cuz this idiot knows all." You could have just said "hey this is wrong. your in english."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Stop being immature, I also thought it was the math section. I never called you an idiot, you called yourself that. You should be more mature and asked me if I knew it was english.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BraydonG You should be more mature and stop acting like an complete jerk!

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Sheesh that escalated quickly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Jesstho.-. You did not think it was the math section. And I was't calling myself an idiot I was imitating what people like you say. This conversation between you and me is over now. But you just might reply anyway

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BraydonG How are you going to tell me what I didn't think? I never say things like that! You do not know me so stop acting like you do. Good, I'm glad this conversation is over, but I am going to reply because you're being judgemental and very rude.

It is most likely "Don't believe every last word you hear about computer viruses. The experts get it wrong." Students might use this informal phrase when writing an essay/research paper on computer viruses. I can show you why the others are not as here, "The results of the survey clearly show no interest in steam-powered automobiles," is not informal. The writer is clearly stating that nobody showed any interest in steam powered automobiles. And here, "Ain't you the guy who busted my windshield?" is informal speech. This could be used in a story, or even in real life dialogue. "Hey, got any 411 on that new store clerk?" is another example of informal dialogue. So, your answer is most likely "Don't believe every last word you hear about computer viruses. The experts get it wrong." :)
