Medal Choose all the right answers. Why do all machines lose some energy while they operate? They run out of fuel. Some heat radiates out. Moving parts create friction. High pressure gases move the piston.

Energy is usually transferred in heat, just like animals get weaker in cold climates, or reptiles need heat since they are cold blooded, other wise they are sluggish and lethargic. I'd go with B, but it applies to living things. A would make sense, just like a car runs out of gas. Cars are machines, so that is probably the answer. I am not sure though.

The machine and “rubbing” parts . Friction between two parts will cause the machine to lose its energy to heat. Heat will always be generated when two parts rub on each other. http://www.fromquarkstoquasars.com/what-physics-says-about-perpetual-motion-machines-free-energy-r/
