okay for this problem you can use substitution. do you know how to do that or what it is?

no i don't know that.

okay so basically you can substitute x or y from one of the equations to the other so
-x-1=2x-7
i used -x-1 because that's what y equals in the bottom equation

from there you have to solve for x like a normal equation.
