and the 2nd one has -y
so ig you add the 2 equations,
'y' will get eliminated!

\(4x + y = 2\)
\(+~\underline{x - y = 3}\)

So we're going to add:
\(4x + x\)
\(y + (- y)\)
and
\(2 + 3\)

you could say the x=y+3 and then plug that into the first equation like this 4(y+3) +y = 2 find you y value and then plug it into x=y+3 to find x
