What is the best order-of-magnitude estimate for 0.000002? A. 10-4 B. 10-5 C. 10-6 D. 10-7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The best order of magnitude estimate for 0.000002 would be, A. 10-4. A good tip for this is to find the LCF, (least common factor) for this specific number, think of it as taking it down. Hope this helps, if you need more help feel free to ask!

i would disagree it is based on base 10 how many decimals ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_magnitude

For anyone viewing this now, the answer is actually c because 10^-6 = 0.000001, so it is the closest because they both (0.000001, and 0.000002) both have 5 zeros and are only a millionth of a decimal apart.
