Intersection is the numbers that are in both sets. For example set A {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10}. Set B {2, 4, 6, 8, 10}. A intersection B is {2, 4, 6, 8, 10} because those are the numbers that are in both sets.
Now, say we want A union B for those sets, that would be {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10}, because that is the sets combined.
