I've already asked this earlier, I just want a step-by-step answer. Matt has $200 in his bank checking account. Each month he deposits $300 into his account. Matt is saving up for a used car that costs $4200. Matt needs to accumulate more than $4200. Using the equation 300x + 200 > 4200, how many deposits does Matt need to accumulate more than $4200?

You need to make the equation x= ???? So we need to get all the numbers on one side of the equation and the x by itself. So how do we get rid of the 200 on the left side of the equation?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

as above get the term with x on one side and everything else on the other side simplify now divide by the coefficient of x

OpenStudy (triciaal):

whatever you do to one side you need to also do to the other to keep the balance.
