It is really helpful. To tell if it is a run-on sentence or not, you must figure out if it has correct punctuation .

You can use a semicolon when connecting two independent clauses. (hint)

It's a tricky one. Both of the independent clauses are complete and the semicolon is used correctly. I would think it would be a complete sentence
