OpenStudy (freckles):
98=2(49)=2(7)^2
32=2(16)=2(4)^2
so you can make the terms in two like terms
OpenStudy (freckles):
\[5 \sqrt{2 \cdot 7^2 x}+4 \sqrt{2 \cdot 4^2 x}\]
just play with perfect squares inside the square roots
OpenStudy (freckles):
sqrt(a^2) =a if a is positive
so example
sqrt(11^2)=11
sqrt(2^2)=2
OpenStudy (freckles):
so sqrt(7^2)=?
and sqrt(4^2=?
