Using the relation between mass and the molar mass you can find the amount of substance: \[\Large n=\frac{ m }{ M }\] Here is \(n\) the amount of substance, \(m\) the mass and \(M\) the molar mass, which is the sum of each elemental in the specie, in this case CO: \[M(CO)=M(C)+M(O)\] You can find the mass of each elemental in your periodic table.
