Discussion topic: Between 1915 and 1945, the United States went through World War I, the booming 1920s, the Great Depression of the 1930s, and World War II. Although this time period was traumatic for many Americans, it also transformed the US identity. Think of the 1920s in contrast with the Great Depression of the 1930s. Which of these two time periods do you think has had a bigger impact on the development of US society, either from a political or cultural viewpoint?

The 1930's, or even the late 1920's was more physical and mental damaging than the 1920's. With the basics of Jobs, Food, and Health was not available or achievable during the turmoil of the Depression, Food production, and malnutrition. As we were in a falling economy, so was our allies across the pond.
